Atticus defending an innocent black man, Tom Robinson, which is a man accused of raping. Tom Robinson has been killed in an attempt to trip from jail. One night Scout and Jem are attacked by cork Ewell on their way home after the Halloween pageant. phellem slashes at Scout with a knife, but the chicken-wire of her Halloween costume protects her from Bob. Jem was knocked unconscious and his weapon was broken, but then Bob was killed by a rangy dark shadow. Boo Radley was the man that carried Jem home and the man killed Bob Ewell.




I dont gestate there were each characters based on actually people. This movie was depicting real events that happened in history, and many events in the Civil Rights movement had taken place. I think the producer did a good cheat in reflecting the time period. The racial tensions leading to these events are reflected in the plot and themes of To Kill a Mocking Bird.
