Other subsidiaries that are wholly owned by Berkshire are Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom and Shaw Industries. In integral Berkshire owns over 40 subsidiaries. So far this year the company is doing extremely well. Despite the current economic crisis Berkshire continues to expand and has do many different major investments recently. In 2008 Berkshire bought over $8 Billion of shares in the Bank of America Corp. In June of 2008 with was nigh 9.1 million shares.
