Once More to the Lake by E.B. White is an essay in which a go revisits a lake with his son that he once visited in his childhood years. The father remembers how so many of the details from his past that he presently experiences with his son are the same as those he undergo with his father many years ago.
The father looks back at those years and tries to relive the moments through his sons eyes. He knows he cannot, and has impediment dealing with the fact that he cant go back in time. At the end of the floor the father remembers that time has go fore and like his father he will before long become just another storehouse.
Though E.B. White story gave of the feeling that the father is depressed that time had moved forward and that he would soon just a memory too his soon, I think it it great that his son will have those memories. Traveling to Georgia with my mother, uncle James, and cousin Jimmy is a memory I hold very near to my heart.
