Introduction
The movie that I selected to analyze was, Whats Love Got to Do with It? The movie was directed by Brian Gibson and written by Tina food turner and Kurt Loder. It was released in June of 1993. The movie was about Tina Turners spirit and was based on her autobiographical book, I, Tina. Angela Bassett, who played Tina Turner, won a 1996 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Motion Picture. She also won a 1994 Golden domain Award for surpass Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture. The movie was put up for two 1994 Academy Awards: surpass Actor in a Leading Role (Laurence Fishburne) and Best Actress in a Leading Role (Angela Bassett). It was also nominated for a 1994 Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture (I Dont Wanna defend).
Summary
The film began with young Anna Mae Bullock finding her home in shambles after a fight between her parents. Her nanna takes her into custody because her mother is gone and is not coming back. When Anna Mae is 17 years old, she leaves Tennessee and goes to St. Louis to live with her estranged mother and her older sister, Alline. Anna Maes mother was not welcoming or loving towards her.



unmatched evening, Alline brings Anna Mae to the night club where she works. There is a group playing, guide by blaber Ike Turner. Ike picks Anna Mae to come on stage and sing with him and he is amazed at her voice. She becomes the bands blow over singer. Ike and Anna Mae fall in love and she gets pregnant. Ike was very controlling and tried to change Anna Mae. When she was in the hospital after delivering their child, the doctor matt-up she needed to stay as she was not well. Ike was more pertain about getting her out so they could do their shows. Ike took her out of the hospital and convinced her to do the shows by giving her a diamond ring. They went to Mexico and got married.
