I enjoyed the road trip because my father had planned a few stops along the look of activities and places we can enjoy. It was after I read Aundres story that I sat and thought again, as I do often, how meretricious we are in this day and age that the discrimination Aundre and her family had to go out for the most part, is non accepted anymore. Anyone who visits Washington D.C. has the word independence bell ringer their mind at least once. How different was Aundres trip from exploit starting from the depart. While riding on the carry Aundre mentions her humiliation passing through Philadelphia without stopping to see the impropriety bell and it was non until later I realized that not stopping whitethorn have been a result of racial discrimination because she was colored.
