The novel Johnny Got His Gun write by Dalton Trumbo focuses on the life of a young spend who encountered a dramatic change in his life. The solider that we live on of by the name of Joe Bonham gave up his life for something that he did not know was going to change it forever. There were two recesss to Joe that questioned his common sense of morality. In other words there was a spill of energy that gave him hope of living in the separate in which he currently was while there was another part of him that made him believe there was no signalize in living. Joe Bonham, a 20 form old ladies man, joined the army without knowing what he could suck up gotten himself into. As an infantryman during WWI, Joe sustained a life changing injury when a racing shell exploded near him. That shell changed his life forever. He spent the rest of his life deceitfulness on hospital beds thinking of what was going to happen next. As years, days and seconds passed he began regaining conscious of what had happened to him. He began recollect each little thing from the day his father died to what happened to him on the day of his accident.
Joe, lacking both arms, and legs, nose, mouth and eyes, was completely handicapped. The state in which he was in did not allow him to move with the world the way others did. Joe was living his life thanks to the nurses who helped him every single day and night. What the nurses did for him was what gave him hope that there was a point in living.
