1984

In complete contrast with Thomas Mores Utopia and Edward Bellamys Looking Backward, Orwells 1984 is anything but a perfect society. Being a dystopian novel, it is ultimately prove to be true that man hasnt acheived all that is expected of him.

In 1984, the superpower called Oceania was blindly perceived by legion(predicate) as a utopia. While in reality, it is the exact opposite, a dystopia. In the novel, the citizens of Oceania were very closely monitored, given little or no rights at all, and had no privacy. Anything and everything was considered a duty to the Party for most. This was non freedom, and therefore, this superpower was not the perfect society. It is often believed that man has the capabilities to tally many, great accomplishments. Although some non-supporters would like to believe otherwise, the society in which the Inner-Party members created is based solely for their benefit. They have succeeded as predicted but brought many other downs.

This ultimately hurt the people as a whole and, man failed to accomplish what had been set out to acheive.

flush though all may not agree, 1984 is not a utopia, but in fact the opposite. Deceiving citizens, Oceanias government officials erase and fuck off the memories of the past of the people. They will always strive for excellence, but they neer imagined to create such a horrible reality.
